HOW TO REGISTER
- Players must create an account on Community Gaming before joining the tournament.
- There will be 32x Players invited and 32x Free Sign-Up Spots.
- An admin will reach out to you if you are invited.
- Matches will be coordinated in the Gauntlet Clash Tournament Discord
- Also join the Gauntlet Clash Tournament Discord Server for questions or support.
- @phobos.pho, @mastermonsta, @torial_, @erikagloom, @illuvination are the main admins to contact for any questions.
- If you are on the waiting list, make sure to be in the GCT Discord Server before the Tournament starts so we can fill up the brackets. We predict a high number of no-shows.
Admins
- Be respectful to all Phantom and Illuvium Tournament Admins, as well as other players when engaging with them.
- Missing any deadlines and breaking any rules as outlined here may result in immediate disqualification at the Admins' discretion.
- The Main Admins might have to alter some rules if there is gamebreaking bugs, problems arising. Be active in Discord during the tournament to stay informed on tournament ongoings.
- Admins’ decisions are final and non-negotiable.
- Players exploiting any game mechanics to an extreme extent will likely face disqualification.
Check-in and Match reporting
- Initial check-in begins 1 hour before the tournament starts.
- Players must check in for each round here on the communitygaming homepage.
- Missing a check-in may result in disqualification.
- Each round’s score must be reported here on the communitygaming homepage.
Location
- Players will start in the GCT Voice channel for check-in and then move to individual voice channels for their matches.
Streaming
- All participants must be available to screen-share their gameplay on Discord. Failure to do so may result in disqualification at the Admins’ discretion.
- Only Round3 with the top 16 Players and the Final 8 Player Lobby will be live-streamed. Hosts and finalists will join an Illuvium Discord voice channel, and all players must stream their games during that on Discord. No other Users are allowed in this Voice Channel to prevent cheating. Admins will give the go-ahead once everything is set to go live.
In-Game Rules
- If you encounter a game-breaking bug within the first 3 Autobattles of a match, notify an admin or moderator and provide video evidence. This allowance is limited to once per player per match. In the Final 8 Lobby, the host will spectate and can confirm live if a game-breaking bug occurs. Finals rules are more lenient to ensure fair play.
- No special exceptions will be made for disconnects or major bugs after the first 3 rounds of a Gauntlet match. Since the game is in Beta, delays due to such issues cannot be accommodated.
- Players are NOT allowed to collaborate during a Gauntlet match. Violations will result in disqualification at the Admins’ discretion.
- DO NOT share screens,screenshots or any other form of information with other competitors
- DO NOT watch other players’ screen-shares in discord
- DO NOT watch the live stream while playing a match in the tournament
- DO NOT share any details and information about your match to anyone
- DO NOT collaborate with other players during the tournament
All these offenses may lead to immediate disqualification.
Competitors may speak and listen in the public voice channels when not playing.
Augment Bans
The following AUGMENTS are BANNED from tournament use.
- Playing 2x Photonic Unity at the same time. (You are only allowed to use it once, not twice)
- Lifestorm
Players may select these Augments but may not equip them to an Illuvial on the board. Violations incur the following penalties:
- One autobattle with a banned Augment: -1 for the final score of the Match
- Two or more autobattles with a banned Augment: disqualification from the round, with a default last-place score of 1 point.
Unit Bans
The following UNITS are BANNED from tournament use..
- ANY Virtuous Lynx
If a Virtuous Lynx is the random Lynx of the Match, players have to restart the Game.
Tournament Structure
Match Setup and Gameplay
- The first player in the Community Gaming match lobby will host a Custom Casual Gauntlet Lobby.
- The remaining 7 players will join that lobby.
- Once verified by the Phantom Tournament Admins, participants may start their matches.
- The winner and second-place player must send a screenshot of the final screen in the Voice-Text channel and ping an Admin.
- Check all Discord communications between rounds for any instructions to stream, pause, or return to the General Voice channel for guidance.
Round 1 - 64 Players
- 8 lobbies of 8 players each
- Each lobby competes in 1 Gauntlet match
- The top 4 players in each lobby advance to the next round, Tiebreaker will be decided with -HP Value
- Once 4 Players have been knocked out and the autobattle is over, the Top4 Players take a screenshot and leave the game to save time.
Round 2 - 32 Players
- 4 lobbies of 8 players each
- Each lobby competes in 1 Gauntlet match
- The top 4 players in each lobby advance to the next round, Tiebreaker will be decided with -HP Value
- Once 4 Players have been knocked out and the autobattle is over, the Top4 Players take a screenshot and leave the game to save time.
Round 3 - 16 Players
- 2 lobbies of 8 players each
- Each lobby competes in 1 Gauntlet match
- The top 4 players in each lobby advance to the next round, Tiebreaker will be decided with -HP Value
- Once 4 Players have been knocked out and the autobattle is over, the Top4 Players take a screenshot and leave the game to save time.
Grand Finals
1 Lobby of 8 finalists
Each Match rewards Points based on each player’s final position as shown on the 1st/2nd player's end-screen Screenshot:
- 1st Place: 8 Points
- 2nd Place: 7 Points
- 3rd Place: 6 Points
- 4th Place: 5 Points
- 5th Place: 4 Points
- 6th Place: 3 Points
- 7th Place: 2 Points
- 8th Place: 1 Point
Checkmate Format: The goal is to reach 8 points and then win an additional game.
- Any player reaching a minimum of 8 points achieves “Check” status.
- If a player with Check status wins a match, they achieve "Checkmate" and are declared the tournament winner.
Positions 2-8 are determined by points. Tiebreakers are resolved by average win rate in the finals first, followed by placement in the last match if needed.
Prize Pool
The prize pool will be paid out in ILV tokens on IMX Layer 2, totaling $1000 distributed as follows:
- 1st Place: $300
- 2nd Place: $200
- 3rd Place: $150
