Description

Please read ALL OF THE RULES. Failure to adhere to any of these rules despite this notice will not be a defense in any event with the exception of exceptional circumstances which warrant the relaxation of these rules subject to the admin team's discretion.

The Tournament will begin at 4:00 pm on September 2 and 3 but Check-ins and Tournament briefing will start on September 2 at 3 pm. Failure to check-in will result in an automatic disqualification from the tournament. The tournament briefing period may be used as an opportunity to ask the admins about any inquiries players may have over the tournament rulebook. Failure to attend the briefing will be considered a waiver of the right to ask questions from the admin team later on.

Communication with your opponent will also be done through Community Gaming and Discord.

Matches must start within 10 minutes of the announcement. Failure to complete the full roster of 5 within the 10-minute period will result in a victory on the opposing team's side for the first match. Failure to communicate or failure to complete the team of 5 within the period will result in a disqualification of the series and a victory on the part of the opposing side. During the elimination rounds that are Best-of-one (BO1) Lower Bracket, teams will be automatically disqualified from the series for failure to appear during the 10 minute grace period.

Any attempt to disqualify an opponent must be corroborated with the appropriate evidence such as a screenshot with a timestamp. Any evidence based on a mere statement of facts will be deemed hearsay and will not be considered by the admin team.

Results must be submitted in the #tournament-results channel. The Pokemon used by the winning side may be censored for purposes of confidentiality and to avoid scouting, but the name of the members must be shown.

In the event of a disconnection, the members must stay within their respective bases and not leave the same for any circumstance. Proof of such disconnection must be submitted to the admin team immediately in order to allow a remake. This may be done either through a screenshot or a screen recording. Leaving the base will be tantamount to waiver on the part of the team with a disconnected player, and the match will proceed as if no disconnection had occurred.

If there is any bug relating to the picking of Pokemon, a recording must be submitted to the admin team so that a remake may be allowed.

It is incumbent on the players to exercise due diligence in determining that all 5 players and 1 sub-player on the opposing side are registered in Community Gaming. Any objection on an "irregular player" must be submitted to the Admin Team at once. In the event that the players proceed with the game notwithstanding the use of an unregistered player on the opposing side, this will be tantamount to waiver, and the match will proceed normally. In the event that the team with an unregistered player starts the match notwithstanding the objections on the opposing side, the former will be disqualified for the series. Additional penalties and admin sanctions may be imposed by the Dragon Moons on a case-to-case basis.

In the event that other forms of cheating are employed, the cheating team will be disqualified from the tournament and be subject to the appropriate penalty as described in the Official Handbook.

  • If players have any concerns with the prior matches, such a team will have a 3 min grace period to inform the admin of any concerns that they may have beforehand. Upon informing the admins will have 5 minutes to address the issue. After the issue has been resolved, Players will have 5 mins to inform their opponents through Community Gaming and Discord of the lobby and of any concerns they may have beforehand. Failure to inform the opponents of this will be tantamount to a one-game disqualification (Eg. Wait, someone went to the restroom). Disconnection rules

For the pools (before Semifinals and Finals), we will follow the following rules:

Should it happen that the disconnection happens during the loading screen, or immediately before the start of the match, your team must STAY AT THE BASE and have a recording of the incident prepared. Likewise, it is recommended that the player who got disconnected be the one who records the incident as proof. Should these be proven, and verified by the organizers, the game will be remade. Should it happen to be disconnected mid-game, this will be the player's fault. Internet connection challenges are not a problem for the organizers. If a disconnection happens, any resolution will be disputed should both players agree to remake the game.

Non-moving Bug

If one of the players in your team cannot move, STAY AT THE BASE, provide a recording that your player cannot move and that you are staying on the base. Should it happen, the following solutions will be followed:

There should be a video recording that it happened, showing that the player clicked it multiple times to no avail. Should there be no proof and/or evidence that supports the claim, the game will be counted as a normal game. Should there be proof and/or evidence that supports the claim, and the tournament organizers verified this, remake the game. Should it happen, any resolution will be disputed should both players agree to remake the game.

Character Selection Bug

For some reason, there are times that players may not be able to choose Pokemon, unclickable on the selection screen.
